I Am My Mother’s Son: Sharing Unconditionally
“Being outstanding means dedicating oneself to specific goals, fearlessly embracing risks, and actively pursuing tasks without delay, transforming every endeavor into a meaningful and successful life worth sharing. – Engr. Olan Deems“
Illustrating a Life of Purpose:
The statement above perfectly encapsulates my life’s journal: “Outstanding, Dedicated, Active, and Victorious (ODAV).” It may sound formal, but it truly defines who I am.
However, beyond what is known about me, have you witnessed my simple lifestyle, ordinary interactions, diligent work ethic, responsible communication, and infectious laughter? These genuine qualities give me the energy to be fully present for you 24/7.
I have a great sense of humor! Once you know me better, we can jest about anything under the sun. We can embrace the beauty of nature together as we venture outdoors and have a memorable time. Even in times of distance or loss of contact, the warmth of our friendship and connection remains steadfast, continuously nurturing our bond.
Our past experiences can remind us of our triumphs and failures, shaping us into resilient individuals whose achievements inspire those around us. I am driven and committed to expanding the list of people I can positively influence. I firmly and joyfully stand alongside various causes, striving to unite people on a single platform.
I find it astonishing that everyone was friends with my mother despite her initial reputation for being strict. In her humble way, she welcomes all into our home with coffee and stories. Her comforting smiles are accompanied by a willingness to help anyone, even those possessing nothing. She fulfills every request. No one leaves our home without a smile.
In my journey and amidst technological advancements, I recognize that I can limitlessly share everything in my virtual journal without needing in-person meetings. It would serve no purpose, and I would feel invaluable if I confined my knowledge, experiences, and thoughts within the four corners of my room. Rest assured, I am always here for you because I am my mother’s son.
