Location: Ermita, Manila, 1000 Metro Manila
In the early 2000s, my parents’ arduous efforts and my humble start in life became synonymous. Their resilience and determination allowed me to bring them to Manila, a testament to their sacrifices. They briefly resided with my younger brother and me in a modest rented unit in Bangkal, Makati. This simple abode consisted of a single room, a compact kitchen, and a humble living space.
One particular experience is the day my parents visited Luneta Park. As I observed the joy radiating from their faces, it was as if their hearts were speaking to me, expressing their profound pride and love. Their smiles conveyed a message that would forever be etched in my heart, “Oh, my dear son! We are immensely proud of you.“
